The Moraga-Orinda Fire District (MOFD) FireWise website was developed to assist the citizens of our communities "Share the Responsibility" for wildland fire safety by providing each property owner with information that will increase fire safety. As more property data is gathered by meeting with property owners and better science methods are developed to determine wildland fire risk, the Moraga-Orinda Fire District is committed to updating this specialized website.

The Fire District wants to thank each citizen and every member of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District for participating in the wildland fire risk survey. The Office of the Fire Marshal would like to thank the management staff of the Fire District for their assistance and expertise during this project, especially Fire Chief Pete Nowicki for his commitment to Fire Prevention and Risk Mitigation. The Office of the Fire Marshal also would like to recognize the MOFD Board of Directors, City of Orinda City Council and the Town of Moraga Town Council for their support and commitment to fire safety and risk reduction.
