Brad Barber represents Moraga-Orinda Fire District's Division 4.

Brad and his wife, Cindy, have been Orinda residents since 1988 and have raised two daughters, both of whom attended Orinda schools and graduated from Stanford University.

Brad earned a B.A. degree in History from U.C. Berkeley and a J.D. degree from the U.C. Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). He practiced law at the firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in San Francisco with an emphasis on corporate, tax and regulatory matters. He later served as Assistant Chancellor at UCSF, Assistant Vice Chancellor at U.C. Berkeley, and Assistant Vice President at the U.C. Systemwide Office of the President, from which position he retired in 2006. He then served as Senior Vice President at Children's Hospital & Research Center in Oakland, retiring from that position in 2013.  He is now serving as a Visiting Scholar at U.C. Berkeley.

Both Brad and Cindy have been active community volunteers in a variety of capacities in Orinda since 1988. Brad has served on Orinda's Gateway Task-force and co-chaired the Measure J bond issue campaign to repair Orinda's roads. He has also currently serves on a number of university, foundation, charitable and church-related boards.
