Jerry Lee, EMS / Training Division
The MOFD Emergency Medical Services is lead by the Division Chief and CQI Coordinator. Firefighter EMTs and Firefighter/Paramedics facilitate rapid response to the scene of a medical or traumatic emergency, insure appropriate field treatment and stabilization of patients, providing rapid transport to the hospital or specialty care center. This team of skilled individuals collaborating within the organization is essential to the success of the EMS Program.
The Training Division coordinates all local, state and federally mandated training programs for safety personnel, as well as programs designed to teach new technologies and methodologies. Each year, approximately 37,700 training hours are logged in the areas of Emergency Medical Services, Fire Prevention, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Emergency Scene Operations, Technical Rescue, Incident Command System and many other categories.
