Fire Chief Randall Bradley

With close to three decades of experience in the fire service, Chief Bradley became Moraga-Orinda Fire District's third Fire Chief on November 5, 2009. Prior to joining MOFD, Chief Bradley served six years as the Fire Chief of the Lawrence Livermore Fire Department and two years as a Deputy Fire Chief with the Alameda County Fire Department.

Chief Bradley earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration and Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco. He is a certified California Chief Fire Officer, Master Instructor, Hazardous Materials Specialist, and a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program. He was a licensed paramedic for ten years.

Chief Bradley serves on the National Fire Protection Associations (NFPA) Standards Council and chairs NFPA’s technical committee that writes the national codes and standards for wildland fire protection. He is also one of four national instructors who teach the Home Ignition Zone course that was developed to address the Wildland Urban Interface problem throughout the United States. He is a member of the California Fire Chiefs Association, International Association of Fire Chiefs, and is a board member of NFPA’s Wildland Fire Section.
