ADOPTION OF PRELIMINARY BUDGET, FY 2027
INTENT TO ADOPT THE FINAL BUDGET, FY 2027

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors has adopted the Preliminary Budget for Fiscal Year 2027 of the Moraga-Orinda Fire District at its regular meeting on June 17, 2026. The preliminary budget is available online at www.mofd.org/proposedbudget or by contacting the District Clerk at info@mofd.org or 925-258-4501. The preliminary budget is also available Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (closed 12:00–1:00 p.m.) at 1280 Moraga Way, Moraga, CA 94556 for inspection.

ADDITIONAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of adopting the final budget for fiscal year 2027. All interested parties are invited to attend the hearing and be heard regarding any item in the budget or regarding the addition of other items. The public hearing will occur on August 19, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Orinda Library Auditorium, 26 Orinda Way, Orinda, CA 94563. This meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, and the public may attend in person or virtually. Details regarding virtual participation will be included on the August 19, 2026, Board of Directors agenda, available at www.mofd.org/agendas. In addition, the public may submit public comments electronically by sending them to the District Clerk at info@mofd.org. To submit comments via U.S. Mail, please send them to the Moraga-Orinda Fire District, Attn: District Clerk at 1280 Moraga Way, Moraga, CA 94556.  Written comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 18, 2026.
