SUMMARY OF THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE: The purpose of this ordinance is to establish fees that are no more than necessary to cover the reasonable costs of District governmental activities, and that the manner in which those costs are allocated to a payor bears a fair or reasonable relationship to the payor's burdens on or benefits received from the District's governmental activities.
Ordinance No. 26-03: Revises the fee schedule to recover the costs of providing services and enforcing regulations, including updates based on cost recovery principles and other adjustments. The fees are charged against public agencies as well as private persons and entities. The fees may also be waived when payment would not be in the public interest. The proposed ordinance is available for review online at www.mofd.org/fee-schedule, and a certified copy is available upon request by contacting the District Clerk at (925) 258-4501.
All interested parties are invited to submit written comments regarding the matter prior to the hearing or to participate in the public hearing. To submit comments electronically, please forward them to the District Clerk at info@mofd.org. To submit comments via U.S. Mail, send them to:
