NOTICE OF REVIEW OF JOB VACANCIES
AND RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION EFFORTS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held for the Moraga-Orinda Fire District Board of Directors to receive a presentation on the status of vacancies and recruitment and retention efforts.

All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing on April 15, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at the Orinda Library Auditorium, 26 Orinda Way, Orinda, CA 94563. This meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, and the public may attend in person or virtually. Details on how to participate will be available on the published April 15, 2026, agenda for the Board of Directors at www.mofd.org/agendas. The Board of Directors will receive and review a report on job vacancies within the District, including recruitment efforts, hiring challenges, and proposed strategies to enhance staffing levels.  The recognized employee organization for a bargaining unit shall also be entitled to make a presentation at the public hearing at which the District presents the status of vacancies and recruitment and retention efforts for positions within that bargaining unit.  Recognized employee organizations representing a bargaining unit with a vacancy rate of 20% or more of the total number of authorized full-time positions may request additional details to be included in this report as provided in Government Code section 3502.3.

All interested parties are invited to submit written comments regarding the matter prior to the hearing or to participate in the public hearing.
