The Moraga-Orinda Fire Protection District (MOFD) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to complete a fee study and recommend appropriate changes to the fee structure to provide cost recovery services.   MOFD is a Special District under the California Health and Safety Code. MOFD is responsible for the protection of the lives and property of the residents of the City of Orinda, the Town of Moraga, the community of Canyon and some unincorporated areas located in the west portion of Contra Costa County, California. MOFD provides fire protection, rescue and other emergency services. MOFD operates five fire stations, one administrative office building and employs approximately 80 personnel.
