Fire Station Tours

Tours of your local fire station are available upon request. Station tours last approximately 30-45 minutes and include a tour of the fire station and engines, as well as talking to the firefighters about their job. The District will provide an opportunity for visits to stations provided the following criteria are met:

Tour Criteria

• Must be part of an organized group, such as a scouts troop or local school, including daycare centers and preschools.
• Fire Station tours may be scheduled between the hours of 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM - Monday through Friday. Requests outside of these hours must be approved by the participating Captain.
• The maximum number of participants allowed for a tour is 25 total people.
• Tours should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
• Fire stations remain "in-service" during tours. Fire companies may need to respond to emergencies at any time. If they do, it will be necessary for the tour to end and your group to exit the station. Please keep this in mind when visiting.

Site Visits

Site visits are available upon request.  Visits last approximately 45 minutes and include an Engine Company consisting of 3 or more uniformed firefighters.  The District will provide an opportunity for site visits provided the following criteria are met:

Site Criteria

• Site visits are conducted at schools or community events where the Engine has unobstructed access in and out during the entire visit.
• Site visits may be scheduled between the hours of 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM - Monday through Friday. Requests outside of these hours must be approved by the participating Captain or Battalion Chief.
• Site visits must have an educational component.
• Site visits should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
• Engine Companies and our firefighters remain "in-service" during site visits. They may need to respond to emergencies at any time. If they do, it will be necessary for the site visit to end and the Engine Company to leave.  Please keep this in mind.
• We are unable to accommodate any requests for birthday parties or other non-educational events.

1. Date of the request
2. Time of the request
3. Name of the organization
4. Contact Information
5. Number and ages of participating participants
6. Topic of interest

 Once your request has been submitted, you will receive an email from staff confirming date, time, and station address.  As a reminder, our fire stations remain "in-service" during tours. Fire companies may need to respond to emergencies at any time. If they do, it will be necessary for the tour or site visit to end and your group to exit the station.
